Yesterday we completed week 8 of this "Believe" series. I am overwhelmed with gratitude to our Ministry Staff who have embraced this Series whole heartedly and have added so much through media, visuals, music, teaching, social media and overall heart and creativity. I also am extremely grateful to our adult and teen teachers, and youth sponsors who take this message to a deeper and more personal level every week in classes and small groups. Lastly, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for how so many of you have really jumped into this study with a heart to be changed by God. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
So far we have worked through seven major core beliefs of the Christian life. With three more core beliefs remaining in the “Think” portion of this study, I pray that we each take these foundational truths deep down into our hearts and through faith, begin to live them from the power source of God’s presence.
These top ten themes affect our spiritual development if we believe them and apply them to our daily lives. In the second week in March, we will enter into the “Act” portion of this study. There we will dig into Scripture to discover 10 core practices of the Christian life. It is then we will find the answer to the question, “Now that I believe, what should I do?” I am so thankful to God for how He has already moved in individual lives and in our church thus far and I cannot wait to see how He will continue to work and move as we seek Him through “Believe”.
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV)
*If you have not joined us in this series by following along in personal study by reading the “Believe” book, there are still books available for $5.00 by contacting the church office. If you have missed any of the sermons, they are available to view at our church website under the media tab and also available on Tuesdays on our Facebook page if you chose to follow that page. Please contact the church office to speak to the one of the Ministers if you have any questions, or if we can help you get the most out of this study.
