Whatever you’re unique witnessing approach is, there is power in it if you are faithful to step out and share your faith. Let it be personal to how God made you, but above all, let it be from your personal relationship with Jesus. Let Jesus be the purpose and the power in sharing your faith!

PRAY: Dear God, As we wrap us this study, help me to know what my approach is for your sake. Let your name be honored among the nations. May my life be lived for you! In Jesus name, Amen.

The Creative Approach. This concept is cultivating your ability in music, or art, or drama, or dance, or sports, or photography, or even business. It’s something where you can connect to the culture as a means to express and communicate the gospel in a culturally relevant manner. This approach takes 1 Corinthians 10:31 very literally, which says, “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” King David is a great example as seen throughout the Psalms of someone who used his talents and abil...

This Sunday Darryl interviewed several wonderful people about their approaches to sharing their faith.  The goal was NOT to put those individuals on a pedestal but to find stories that resonate in our own life.  Today, I’d like to do the same:

I’ve always been a relational person.  God has gifted me with the ability to get along with a wide variety of people.  If you knew me in high school, I was a bit of a nerd (not much has changed) but generally floated from friend group to friend group....

The Samaritan Woman’s Invitational Approach. This may be the easiest and the one for all of us to start with. There is power when we invite people to find out who Jesus is. This is done by inviting people to church, a Christian concert, small group or Bible study. It’s through relationship, through knowing a person and then inviting them down a path to know the best relationship in your life—Jesus. We see this Invitational Approach in the Samaritan woman in John 4 whose life was changed when she...

We’ve all had some time to consider which of these 7 evangelistic styles we are strongest in, and I have now been pinned by multiple people before even telling in which I am strongest.  I find the intellectual style to fit me the best, though there is a bit of a creative flair that is born from my artistic half.

As I have processed through this, I think this is true because I love to talk about ideas.  I love understanding why people think the way they do about ideas.  I love following people dow...

Dorcas’ Service Approach. These are the people that express their faith and love for people by meeting needs. They don’t want any credit. They don’t like the spotlight. They just love people. They just see needs and they serve. They don’t have to be real outspoken. They show the love God and the power of Jesus through love, service and care. This was the life of Tabitha or Dorcas as she is most well-known. Her story is revealed in Scripture through the power of Christ raising her from the dead a...

Of all the different styles or approaches to share my faith in Jesus Christ, the one I feel that God has developed and refined as my primary approach, would have to be the direct approach.

To be honest, this is one that I have had to grow in through the work of the Holy Spirit in my life.  The testimonial or creative approaches are easier for me to function within, but the direct approach is of greatest calling for me....

Matthew’s Interpersonal approach is very similar to the testimonial approach, but it’s those who naturally build longer-term relationships with people. These are the people that tend to be networkers in the business world. They tend to be people that have the gift of hospitality, or like to have people over. We see this approach in Scripture in Luke chapter 5 when the tax collector, Matthew, encounters Jesus and decides to lay it all down to follow Jesus. Matthew then had all the same sinners an...

The blind man’s testimonial approach is natural for people who like to share how God has changed their life. This approach is for those who are willing just sharing what you’ve seen, what you’ve heard, and what you’ve experienced. We see this Biblical example in John 9 where a man who was born blind was healed by Jesus. The once blind man, despite all the trouble, questions and accusations by the religious leaders, never once faltered on his approach. He shared the testimony of his healing, he s...

Paul’s intellectual approach is for those who like giving logical and reasonable presentations of the faith. They lay out sound explanation. They like to work with concepts and ideas and present a case. This approach belongs to those who love to learn and study. We see this approach in Acts 17 where the Apostle Paul is giving rational answers to the intellectuals of his day. He even starts to quote some of their own poetry, but ultimately reveals God to them through their intellect.
